White Willow have established themselves as one of Scandinavia's leading art-rock/progressive bands. Starting with 1995's Ignis Fatuus, the band has been at the forefront of Scandinavia's so-called New Wave of
Progressive Rock alongside bands like $#196;nglag$#229;rd (whose original drummer Mattias Olsson is currently White Willow's drummer) and Landberk. Each new album has presented a new sound and a new line-up, but
common to all the albums is a cinematic, symphonic sound ranging from the pastoral to the gothic and ethereal female vocals. After 2011's critically acclaimed Terminal Twilight the band went on a hiatus, but
they are currently working on a new album.
